چکیده

As 5G millimeter wave (mmWave) wireless device involves some new technologies, such as beamforming, the radiofrequency (RF) exposure compliance test for mmWave is significantly complicated. In order to shorten period terminals, relevant regulatory authorities recommend a combination of numerical simulation and measurements demonstrate compliance. To verify feasibility this method, RF conducted in paper was reverse procedure according IEEE (the Institute Electrical Electronics Engineers) standards. First, actual under various conditions, including different beam configurations, distances, input power levels, duty cycle, nonpeak directions, were performed, changing trend PD over testing conditions analyzed. Then one dual-polarized patch antenna array selected analysis. The method proposed standards proved through comparison results experiment

RF EMF Exposure Compliance of mmWave Array Antennas for 5G User Equipment Application

In the millimeter-wave bands towards 5G, human exposure to radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field (EMF) is evaluated in terms of free space power density, rather than specific absorption rate. Maximum power density emitted by 5G user equipment should not exceed the power density limits set by relevant regulatory guidelines. In this paper, we provide upper bounds of maximum power density of ...

Study of Realistic Antenna Patterns in 5G mmWave Cellular Scenarios

Large antenna arrays and millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequencies have been attracting growing attention as possible candidates to meet the high requirements of future 5G mobile networks. In view of the large path loss attenuation in these bands, beamforming techniques that create a beam in the direction of the user equipment are essential to perform the transmission. For this purpose, in this pape...

5G mmWave Module for ns-3 Network Simulator

The increasing demand of data, along with the spectrum scarcity, are motivating a urgent shift towards exploiting new bands. This is the main reason behind identifying mmWaves as the key disruptive enabling technology for 5G cellular networks. Indeed, utilizing new bands means facing new challenges; in this context, they are mainly related to the radio propagation, which is shorter in range and...

Reconfigurable Antenna Multiple Access for 5G mmWave Systems

This paper aims to realize a new multiple access technique based on recently proposed millimeter-wave reconfigurable antenna architectures. To this end, first we show that integration of the existing reconfigurable antenna systems with the well-known non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) technique causes a significant degradation in sum rate due to the inevitable power division in reconfigurabl...

milliProxy: a TCP Proxy Architecture for 5G mmWave Cellular Systems

TCP is the most widely used transport protocol in the internet. However, it offers suboptimal performance when operating over high bandwidth mmWave links. The main issues introduced by communications at such high frequencies are (i) the sensitivity to blockage and (ii) the high bandwidth fluctuations due to Line of Sight (LOS) to Non Line of Sight (NLOS) transitions and vice versa. In particula...
